Good Friday was AWESOME!

Good friday worship team

Tonight was Good Friday and we had our second Good Friday service ever. It was preceded by an “all out” Easter Egg hunt with a few hundred of our little friends scavenging for eggs. Then, we had over 500 turnout for the Good Friday service that overflowed into the cafe!

Good friday crowd Gang, I gotta tell you, a lot of churches talk about their great music but I truly haven’t seen (and I’ve been to many of these churches) talent like this (Southbrook’s) assembled in one place…EVER!

The presence of the Lord was ALL OVER THIS PLACE!!

I can’t wait for this Sunday because God is going to move in a BIG WAY!! I hope you’re planning on inviting everyone within 50 miles of you who has a pulse!

See you then!!

Oh yeah, did I mention the tent will be heated?!

its great that the first picture on this post is of that particular line of that particular song. that line means more to me than anything else in the world…. “my sin, not in part, but the whole; is nailed to the cross and I BEAR IT NO MORE, praise the Lord, PRAISE THE LORD, o my soul…

watching those clips was hard, though… watching that is like watching your best friend in the world be tortured and killed.. right in front of you, and theres nothing you can do to help him… and you know in your heart that his blood is on your hands….

praise the Lord that we bear it no more, and praise Him for Part 2 of the story!

The Good Friday service was in a word AWESOME!

It was not a time to celebrate, it was not a time to rejoice, it was a time to focus on the reality of the true pain and suffering that Jesus Christ endured for us.

It may seem harsh that God would allow such pain and suffering. But tomorrow he gives us the opportunity to rejoice and celebrate.

Tomorrow may seem like the “Happy Ending” ending, but it is truly only he beginning for every Christ-follower…………!

Rob … My family and I will be praying for the church this weekend. As with every Easter that we have been with Southbrook … is this seven years?!? … we are in Florida celebrating Easter with our family. We will be praying that even more people will come to know the LORD this weekend than have in the past month. Have a Happy Easter and … Go GOD!

In HIS Service,
Mark
