Oh What a Night!

CIMG2003Tonight was the release of Southbrook’s first ever praise and worship CD entitled, “Return.” We began the evening pointing to the one who alone is worthy of our praise—Jesus Christ. We talked about how blessed we feel at SCC in that we have some of the greatest musical talent I’ve ever seen at any church EVER.

Forget just churches, I mean anywhere, EVER!

Still, real worship is not just singing, and it certainly isn’t about a concert. So, tonight we worshiped together as several hundred intimate worshipers sang as one!

It was off the hook!

Tomorrow will be even better as we are anticipating near record crowds for this first ever (and first of many) release from the praise and worship teams at Southbrook Church.

Come early so you can get a seat. And, if you are a member or regular attender, please consider the 8:30 service or the 11:30 video cafe so that our fist time guests will have a great experience.

Thanks!

Now here are some pictures from the kickoff tonight.

Enjoy!

If tonight is any indication of the Awesome plans God has for Southbrook, you had better strap in and get ready for a ride like you have never imagined.

The gifts that God has given EVERY member of the Return Worship Team are amazing.

For anyone that was there tonight you know just how amazing this group is and that for every one of them, it is all about God. It is not about them as individuals.

For all that were there tonight, we were truly blessed and connected.

For all that will attend service tomorrow, get ready to connect with and give it all to God.

To every member of Return Worship, Susan and I say “Thank-You” for all of your efforts on this CD, your dedication, giving back to God, and your desire to see others come to know and grown in their walk with Christ through your music. It is more powerful than you know.

We did not need another reason to be grateful and proud to call Southbrook home, but “Y’all” just gave us one by following what God has placed in your hearts.

May God continue to bless and touch your lives.

Steve and Janie says:

We were so excited and inspired that we didn’t want to go home right after service. So, we went on a date and just talked about how blessed we are to be a part of church that makes us feel so alive in Christ.

I missed most of the sevice since we were preparing for the bake sale but we could see the monitor in the lobby. By the time I got into the sanctuary, the walls were vibrating, the sound was a like a sonic boom and you could immediately feel the Holy Spirit sweeping through the room.

I woke up this morning wanting to go back to church but I won’t be selfish. Other’s need to experience what went on last night.

I asked Steve to put together a CD of songs I like to listen to when I’m on my walks (I don’t do ipod or mp3, I’m kinda primitive that way! Ha!) but I guess God burned a CD for me to take to my walks! Looks like Earth Wind and Fire will have wait. I have the RETURN to listen to!!

With a grateful (and excited) heart,
Janie

Wow- what a great weekend to return to Southbrook, the same weekend Return is released! It seemed so appropriate. It was a great way to re-join my church family. Thank you all you great musicians who are so willing to return your gifts to God to glorify Him. And could I use the word return any more?
I’ll return more later and see if I can…;)
