Thank . Full series concludes this weekend.

Bio+pics+005You all are in for a treat this weekend — beginning tonight, as our own, Lysa TerKeurst (Lysaterkeurst.com) speaks at all six weekend venues!

Art TerKeurst is my best friend (outside of Jesus and my wife — sorry, Art) and we have been through good times and bad, tough times and times of great joy. The Singletons and TerKeursts are the families that date back the very farthest as far as the auspicious beginnings of Southbrook Church are concerned. So it gives me great pleasure to announce Lysa’s willingness to wrap up our THANK . FULL series with the message, “Fearless.”

So, if you want to be tremendously blessed, show up this weekend at Southbrook Church!

If not?

Show up anywhere else.

What an awesome sermon!! I have been so inspired by Lysa so many times and I know thath it is God working through her! This came at such a perfect time. We have been trusting God for a what seemed like a while in our life but we have been hanging in. We have our days when we feel like we have done something wrong but God used Lysa again to keep our chins up. Remember you can’t feel bad if you are looking up at the rainbow instead of down at the mud! Father, WE TRUST YOU COMPLETELY!!! Use us where you will!

We had the opportunity to hear Lysa’s message tonight.

All I can say is that if all your guests and family have left and you are sitting here Saturday night or Sunday morning thinking about just taking a day off from church…. Don’t ! Get up and go……… you will want to hear this message.

What an awesome way to wrap up the thank|Full series talking about Fear…. something we all deal with in one way or another in our lives.

Thanks to Lysa for sharing with us tonight and those she will share with on Sunday.

Lysa is just another example of the great people God has placed at Southbrook as part of his plan for us all.

Hi -

I’m fairly new to Southbrook (3 months), and I can really feel God moving in this church. I was just wondering why it is not possible to be ‘tremendously blessed’ by God anywhere else? Last I checked, God can, and does, bless tremendously everywhere, not just at Southbrook (and not just for attendance).

Love in Christ,

Liz

Rob says:

Umm, Liz?

That ending to the post was a joke, lol. Anywhere else meant like, “The Panther’s game, at home in bed, etc. Just didn’t want you going to far down that road…

Thanks for your comments.

So…..with all this technology is there any way to ever post a live feed of a sermon or teaching for those of us unable to physically join the crowd? My husband and I are future membersof Southbrook and would love to be able to take in an actual sermon now and then! Blogs are great and we try to get “fed” locally but-huh-huh??? Come on techno-pastor!! ;-)

Went to the 8:30am service and it was excellent! Thank you so much Lysa for joining us today and giving us your powerful message!

Rob says:

Glad you asked, Stephanie!

We should have the video messages up and running by the start of the new year. We hear you, and we are working on it like busy little elves.

In Christ,

Pastor Rob

Pastor Rob -

I certainly was not going down any road, I was just concerned that others might take your post literally. Especially the multitude’ of faithful blog readers who hang on your every word! Now that was a joke. Keep up God’s work, Rob, your messages are truly inspired.

Love in Christ,

Liz

Lysa TerKeurst says:

Thank you, Rob, for allowing me the honor of speaking at Southbrook this weekend. My prayer is that we won’t just walk away thinking about this Thank-FULL series for a day or two and then move on to the next series. My hope is that we all really let the truths of being filled up with Thanksgiving to God seep so deeply into our hearts and minds that being Thank-FULL becomes a life change.

With today’s message focusing on fear, I feel almost certain we will all experience some kind of fear this week. It may be a big fear or some kind of smaller one, but I can almost guarantee some kind of fear will come knocking this. So, it will be our chance to take that which God taught us and apply it.

As we apply what we’ve learned maybe it would be an encouragement to others to post how we handled our circumstances differently because of what we’ve learned. Or maybe you’d like to post other Bible verses that you find that relate. Either way, I know Rob loves our feedback and does read the comments. So, live the message this week and let us all know about it!
Blessings!
Lysa

WOW!!! What an awsome day! Not only was that a powerful message but the new song we learned was great!! I cannot believe my family was missing out on so much til we found your church. Not a day goes by that we dont keep communicating about our time together on Sundays. You are an amazing group of people and I so thank the Lord we found you.
God Bless all who are a part of your ministry!!

Josh says:

This sermon really sunk into my heart this morning, as does every one does! Thank you for a wonderful service Lisa. I just wanted to say that i missed last sunday Pastor Rob, and I felt really out of place and upset that I missed out. God really made it clear to me these last few months that Southbrook is my home, and it is where I feel God the most! It was just weird not to hear Pastor Rob’s voice! lol

God Bless,
Josh
