The Ultimate gift
Tonight we kicked off our quest to see 200 people receive the ultimate gift of salvation before the end of this year.
As we closed out the service almost everyone came forward to write on Christmas ornaments the names of friends, neighbors, co-workers and family who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In two weeks we will have a message entitled, “Lost at Christmas” and our prayer is that hundreds who are lost will come home to Jesus this Christmas!
Can you think of a better gift?
Seriously, this is the time of year when most will be thinking of nintendo wii’s, or new clothes, Starbucks gift certificates or any number of other “things” they think will bring a moments joy. How much better to be a part of helping someone lay hold of so great a salvation?! It’s the one gift that will last forever!
If you attend Southbrook, make sure you don’t miss this it, and start praying tonight about who to invite!!
If you keep up with what God is doing here from afar, please pray for us that God would move in a mighty way!
Oh, one more thing…
Merry CHRISTmas!

Rob: Thank you for bringing the message you brought this morning. Sometimes I don’t get out of it what you intend. Today I was thankful for your honesty in sharing some of the fights you have with God. I too sometimes fight with God and try to use His words against him and wonder where He is and why He is not answering me. It is refreshing to know I am not the only one that experiences that. Thank you for your transparency.

Thank you for your obedience in allowing God to use you through the message this weekend. It was very real. Have a great week Rob!

This is an interesting idea. It builds community plus it extends the love, compassion and hope of God to those who don’t know him yet.

I have sometimes wondered why God allows things to happen that he could intervene with. I am like the child you spoke about. I pray all the time and I too argue with him and wonder where he is. Thank you for your transparancy. You also ansered alot of questions I have been asking about my own children and that helped me as well.
I thank God every day that he has brought us to Southbrook where we continue to grow in our faith, and our understanding.
God Bless you
and
Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!

Pastor Rob, your message Saturday night was one of the best I’ve heard in a long time. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. However you might think it comes across to people, trust me, I think everyone takes it in the right spirit. Because your heart comes through. Thanks for listening to voice of God.
And on a side note, thanks for loving your family and making it obvious both in and out of the pulpit. blessings bro.

Thanks for this opportunity again. Months ago I wrote my sister in law’s family’s names down on a CD, and God moved in a mighty way. She had a crisis with her 12 year old daughter, and then the family car broke down, right in front of a church! The whole family started attending that church. She told me that she felt God telling her that she needs to bring her family to Him. Thank you, church, for praying for my family. I look forward to putting lots more names down. Praise God!
