It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Saved-2dsmall-small2But not for the reasons you might think.

For me this is a wonderful time because more people come hear about the love of Jesus than at any other time (including Easter). And the result of so many tire-kickers checking this thing called “church” out is that multitudes begin a relationship with Jesus.

This weekend we saw 76 people bend the knee to Jesus and the family of God grew just a little bit more! And that was just in 6 services.

There’s still 10 more to go tomorrow!

I hope all you Brookies out there will fill your vehicles with friends, family, co-workers and neighbors who need to hear about the love of Jesus at this Christmas time.

God’s not even close to done!

Christmasticket10So, if you are planning on coming you will do best by stopping by the church and picking up tickets for the time you plan on being there. The tickets are free but help us greatly in the area of crowd control.

Even though the ticket in this picture says 10:00 pm…we have many other opportunities as well…

* Also @ 4:00 pm, @ 5:30 pm, @ 7:00 pm, and

@ 8:30 pm. However, the 4:00 time is sold out, and the 5:30 and 7:00 are right behind. No one will be turned away, however, if you want a good seat for the drama your best bet at this point is at 8:30 or 10:00 where there are still plenty of tickets left.

Please pray everyone! I can think of no better way to finish the year than for another 100 or so to come to Christ tomorrow evening!

See ya there!

Rob,
Your sermon on lost and finding the one true path was so right-on. It applies to all of us.
As Christians, how many times to do we get “lost” and down the wrong paths over and over .It’s not just the lost that experience this.
The presentation and points made, during your sermon was awesome!! You really used the right music and video clips to bring about your point. Most of all, the time you put into this sermon delivered the message of hope and salvation. It doesn’t get any more loving and honest than that!
It’s so simple yet so difficul isn’t it?

We just wanted you to know, that the heart and preparation that went into was successfull!
We know we “felt” your message!
Merry Christ-mas!

Rob,
Service yesterday morning was amazing. Your message and demonstrative analogy’s were spot on. During the invitation for people to accept Christ I was praying for your words and the holy spirit to touch the hearts of many. I found my eye’s welling up as I prayed and felt the spirit moving. The confirmation came when you read of the number of people that accepted Christ….38, 39, 40…41….Wow. I was moved. All in one service. Awesome!

Rob, the family I have invited is coming tonight, and it excites me to no end to think of such “good” people becoming “God” people. Ha! The difference between good and God is one “o”. I wonder if there is something spiritual about that but probably not.

Okay, ADHD moment over, God has done such a great work at Southbrook this year, but He has just getting started. Salvation is just the beginning of the real journey of life. It is the gateway to living. Hundreds of people have bent their knee, but living a life as a Christ follower is the second step that has equal importance to coming to Christ. I truly believe that as the thousands of people at Southbrook become dedicated to living the Christ life Southbrook will see blessings that are unreal. Warning though: trials are blessings too! Even though, God wants to transform our lives into His image, whether saved or not quite yet. God is working behind the scenes in the lives of leadership and the heart of people who lead through prayer and supplication, and some an eruption will occur that will shake the very foundation of Southbrook, Weddington, Charlotte and the world.

Bank on it!
