Slammin Day at Southbrook!

This “One Month to Live” series has definitely been a challenge for us all. It’s also been one of my very favorite series we’ve ever done as a church! Already (and we still have 2 more weeks to go) hundreds have seen life change in powerful ways as God teaches them to, in essence, ‘live like they were dying.’

Today was capped another weekend of slammed parking lots and standing room only service as word gets out of what God is doing in and among his people at Southbrook Church.

Right now (as I type this) I am on a quick break from our membership class. These things never get old as I watch groups come in and talk of all that God is doing since coming to SCC!

Praise God!

And, “‘thank You, God, that you allow us to have a role in the building up of your kingdom!’

We love You!”

I know all of this in the back were moved this weekend by Larry and his testimony…we got to hear and see the message 4x’s this weekend and I will admit usually after the first two times we begin yawning. But this week the video testimony by Larry brought tears to all of our eyes each time we watched.

How short our time is on this earth. The work is great that needs to be done and sometimes we get caught up in the craziness of life that we forget why God put us here. I hope that this weekends message struck a chord for all who attended. It is my prayer that all of us who are involved in ministry at Southbrook remember why we do what we do and the importance that it plays in the greater work.

Thanks to all of the ‘peeps’ in the back that work with me each week. And thanks to the bands for the talents that you use for God’s kingdom. Sometimes I am ‘Overwhelmed’ when I see the Holy Spirit move through the congregation like he did this weekend. NIce job by everyone this weekend! I pray that we all stay patient, humble and loving.
