Missing Posts
I’m sad to announce that the miraculous and heroic, true account of Mark Young (not his real name) had to be pulled because of threatening and inappropriate responses from some folks.
If you wish to have the full account you can leave a comment with your (valid and verifiable) contact information and I will be glad to email it to you. However, after prayerful consideration I came to the determination that this blog will never be a doorway for sick individuals to spew their hatred and venom.
The primary uses for this blog are:
- To communicate with and feed the people of Southbrook Church
- To tell readers from all over the world of the saving love of Jesus Christ
- To help train Christian leaders, and
- Just to rant
Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and will gladly share the story with all those who are truly interested for the right reasons.

Rob,
I did read the posts and I would love if you can email it to me so my husband can read it. We were both in the Army. It is very unfortunate that we can’t celebrate this soldier’s safe return home, but I do understand your reasoning for pulling it.
Thanks,
Michelle

Dear Pastor Rob,
I too am saddened to hear that anyone would write back with hatred and venom for what I read to be a miraculous story of God’s protection over one of our soldiers. I too will continue to pray for Mark and all of our soldiers, with the hope they will be home soon.
Pastor Rob, could you please forward the rest of the story to me too. I read the whole incredible story but, my husband Kendall did not.
God Bless America,
Sue

I am absolutely speechless that anyone would have threatening and inappropriate responses at such a miracle of a life saved both physically & spiritually and how God’s hand can guide us through anything to bring us to Him! We will continue to pray for this young man and for the ones who did not see the truth in his story. I think most of us who read here & attend Southbrook can see what is really going on.
Thank you Pastor Rob.

Pastor Rob,
Hi! Could you please mail me the soldiers story? I have heard the story a couple times second hand, but would love to share it with my family. What a blessing that this guy has made it safely home and has now committed his life to Jesus Christ. WOW! I rejoice in that and the others that were baptized this past weekend.
Thanks,
Kim

Pastor Rob,
It breaks my heart to hear that someone would use this website to voice their disapproval of what’s going on in Iraq. Whether you agree or not with what’s going on over there, it is our responsibility to support our troops. They have sacrificed so much so that we could have all of the freedoms that we do. How can someone not see that God was there supporting & protecting Mark so that he could live to tell us of God’s miracle?
I would love it if you could send me the entire story so I can share it with my friends & family.
Our thoughts & prayers are with the men & women of the armed forces.
God bless,
Janelle

Rob i would like the story. my husband heard about it at the mens meeting but didnt get to read it.
I bet the person(s) who complained would pay 10.00 to see that story on the big screen if it was a hollywood production, its sad people cant accept reality the same way they can fiction.
Scott & Cindy Marze says:
Rob - Please send us the rest of the story - I have shared Mark’s story many times in the last few days - he is a testimony that his life was spared because God is not finished with him! We thank God daily for you & your teachings.
Take care, Scott & Cindy

I love that your heart has the prioritiy to protect your flock, and I’m so sad to hear that anyone would have anything inappropriate to say for someone who has risked everything to protect them. I’ll continue to pray for our soldiers, and especially the dear hero whom many of us have met and prayed over for weeks now, and his best friend and little brother.
God is very good.
